Nungwi is a historical village located at northen end of the Unguja (Zanzibar) Island, Its popullar for the endless white sand beach and crystal clear sea water, tradition dhow building yard, the marine turtle pond and coral reefs with colourful fishes. There are numbers of interesting things to do and see during our North tour.
First you will visit the Mangapwani Coral Cave and the slave chambers – a dark chapter of Zanzibar history. The second stop will be at Mkokotoni fish market. Mkokotoni together with Tumbatu Island was the first capital of Zanzibar.
Than we carry on to the sea turtle aquarium with various species of fishes and of course the famous green sea turtle, in Nungwi you will visit a traditional wooden boat workshop and the local fish market.
We drive you to Kendwa village direct to the beach, there you will have plenty of time for swimming, jetski renting or relaxing on the white sandy beach.
There are various restaurants on Kendwa beach serve lunch and drinks.
